In Russia, the Center for Youth Innovation Creativity "SuperLab" was inaugurated on April 11, 2016.

The purpose of this project is to encourage creative engineering pursuits by school and university students. The "SuperLab" specializes in space technology and biomechanics.

RSCC has come forward in support of the project. Alexander Yakovlev, Head of RSCC Communication Systems Operation Service, gave a fascinating lecture to the students, telling about today’s capabilities of satellite communications, their role in modern life, and the nature of geostationary satellites. School students took a specific interest in satellite orbital injection phases and how the no-longer used space hardware items were disposed of in outer space.

The opening of the "SuperLab" took place at 36, Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Moscow.
