Harris... A Guarded Approach (MILCOM)


[SatNews] Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has been awarded a $10 million contract by the United States National Guard Bureau to upgrade communications for eight Air National Guard (ANG) facilities.

The agreement is in addition to two other Harris programs that already support 14 Guard bases. The Bureau's IT services modernization will provide an integrated, high bandwidth, structured cabling system that delivers sufficient information transport capability to support the Guard's current and future mission requirements. The eight facilities to be upgraded are located in Savannah, GA; Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center; Gulfport, MS; Fresno, CA; Selfridge, MI; Rosecrans, MO; Thompson Field, MS; and Tulsa, OK. The Harris team includes subcontractor Hyperion. The project was awarded under the Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.
