Harris CapRock Communications—She Takes On Role Of President (Business)


[SatNews]  Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has named Tracey Haslam president of its Harris CapRock Communications business and she will report to Jim Morris, group president of Harris Integrated Network Solutions.

The business will now be headquartered in Houston, Texas. In this role, Haslam is responsible for leading Harris CapRock, a global provider of managed satellite and terrestrial communications solutions specifically for remote and harsh environments that include the energy, government and maritime markets. Harris CapRock owns and operates a robust global infrastructure that includes teleports on six continents, five 24/7 customer support centers, local presence in 23 countries and more than 275 global field service personnel supporting customer locations across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Haslam has more than 25 years experience leading businesses and teams in markets ranging from off-shore oil exploration and production to defense, technology, and after-market services. Most recently she was vice president and general manager of Harris CapRock’s energy business. She joined Harris from Honeywell, where she was vice president, strategic markets for Honeywell Process Solutions. Previously Haslam served in a variety of international assignments at Honeywell in general management, strategy, marketing, sales, and business development and successfully grew international and domestic businesses in the energy sector. Haslam received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and engineering from the University of Adelaide in Australia and a master’s degree in business administration from INSEAD in France.
