SNG — Flyaways — Colem's New Button Control For SATCOM Ops

Colem logo Colem has announced the launch of its Wireless Intelligent Button Control for satellite operation.

This control can feature two, three, or four buttons in a rugged surround, thus simplifying any SNG or Flyaway operation. Despite its basic appearance, it is fully interactive and allows complex operation of fully automated systems. The simplicity of operation is obvious yet informative through guided operational steps. It allows reduced operator choice to a single element and ensuring “one-button-at-a-time” philosophy. This philosophy simplifies training and will dramatically reduce or eliminate mistakes. The Intelligent Button Control can be used in challenging RF environments, such as urban or mountain areas, where devices can be several kilometres apart. Development is already underway to use the latest TFT Key Switch technology to bring more information to the user and yet ensure that operation is simple. This will allow fully informed connection to Colem’s automatic transmit scheduling system. Colem will be exhibiting at Satellite 09, stand number 293 with their partner Novella SatComs.
