[SatNews] Several new and existing products will be featured at booth #7521 during the NAB trade show.
Fujitsu’s scalable and highly flexible next-generation encoder, the IP-9610, digital media processor and networking platform, will be featured, as it is also integrated with the Company's high-performance application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) technology. The system is optimized to meet growing demand for 10 bit 4:2:2 encoding and advanced H.264/Advanced Video Coding (AVC) to support all formats, including 1080P and “stereoscopic” 3D television content.
The Company’s full line of industry-leading encoding/decoding technologies, which are known for delivering exceptional picture quality at low latency and low bit rates, making them ideal for reducing costs associated with HD satellite news gathering and broadcasting, as well as IP streaming applications. The family of solutions includes: the IP-9500 high-performance HD and SD H.264 (AVC) 4:2:2/4:2:0 contribution encoder; the cost-efficient IP-9400 HD/SD 4:2:0 encoder specifically designed for electronic news gathering (ENG) and satellite news gathering (SNG) operations; and the IP-900 HD/SD encoder/decoder for efficient digital content transmission in AVC 4:2:0 format with robust FEC/ARQ technology, suitable for less-than-perfect, restricted-bandwidth IP networks.
Also on display will be Fujitsu's XG-series Ethernet Switches, which offer high-performance, high-speed Layer 2 switching with ultra-low latency, flexible interfaces and compact form factors that make them ideal for transmitting video data. The combination of new 1Gb/10Gb uplink switches with Fujitsu’s existing XG-Series 10GbE family also empowers customers to deploy a homogeneous networking solution. Rich Harvey, product manager for media solutions, and Vic Hering, VP of marketing and sales for the XG family of products, will also be on hand at NAB to demo Fujitsu’s encoders/decoders and Ethernet switches, talk about how the solutions are meeting a wide range of needs and demands in today’s broadcasting organizations, and provide some real-world customer examples.
