SIA + LandWarNet 2009 Offers General Strong As Keynote

LandWarNet banner The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is pleased to announce that Major General Randolph P. Strong, Commanding General of the US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command, CECOM LCMC, Fort Monmouth, NJ, will keynote the 2nd Army Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop. This event will be held on Monday, August 17th, 2009, the pre-day of the LandWarNet 2009 conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

SIA collaborates with the Army’s Project Manager Warfighter Information NetworkTactical (PM WIN-T) — to develop this workshop, which explores both the Army’s current requirements for satellite connectivity and the latest from the industry in technology and applications to aid the warfigher around the globe. “We’re delighted that General Strong will join the Army Satcom Users Day,” notes Patricia Cooper, SIA President. “This is a critical year to ensure that the Army’s specific and evolving communications needs are understood — and met — by industry. SIA and PM-WIN-T aim to bring together the leadership from the Army and DoD with the industry’s innovators to forge that link during this Workshop.“
