Foxcom Ltd. + Globecomm—Teleport's Optical Optimization (SATCOM)


[SatNews] Foxcom Ltd. has initiated its first deployment of their new Platinum Dual Channel L-Band Fiber Optic Link in Globecomm's main Teleport in Hauppauge, New York.
 

The new platform is designed to provide higher card capacity at a significantly lower cost. A fully populated 19-inch, 3U Foxcom rack supports as many as 24 L-band channels, plus an SNMP summary alarm card and dual power supplies. The new Dual Channel Link is based on Foxcom's field proven Platinum design which is widely used across the globe by major satellite operators and broadcasters. The platform provides full digital control and monitoring. Using the SNMP controller, various RF parameters can be monitored and controlled remotely.
