This milestone is a vital building block of mission functionality necessary for missile warning certification of the SBIRS GEO-1 satellite. In completing the GIO Integration milestone, the Ground Segment validated 853 mission readiness objectives and supported months of GIO Integration testing that exercised 594,000 lines of code. “Completing integration of our software baseline that will provide missile warning certification for SBIRS GEO-1 is a tremendous step forward for the ground segment of the program,” said Col. Troy Brashear, SBIRS Ground Group commander. “This is a key example of the dedication of the combined Air Force, The Aerospace Corporation, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman ground team. We are on the right track, evidenced by the early achievement of this milestone; the program is making solid progress toward delivery to launch.”
