SIA — Moving On Up...


The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is pleased to announce the election of its new Board of Directors for 2010. Mr. David Cavossa, Vice President of Operations for CapRock Government Solutions (CGS), will serve as SIA’s Chairman of the Board for the year. He will be joined on SIA’s Executive Committee by Ms. Leslie Blaker of Rockwell Collins as Vice Chairman, and Ms. Jennifer Warren, of Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Washington Operations as Treasurer.

Mr. Cavossa served as SIA’s Vice-Chairman of the Board in 2009 and previously as Executive Director of SIA from 2004 through 2007. Currently, Mr. Cavossa manages CapRock Government Solutions’ day-to-day operations and program management teams, as well as coordinating government outreach and customer service efforts.

Ms. Blaker is Rockwell Collins’ Director, C3I Systems Marketing. Ms. Blaker has more than 20 years of experience within the satellite industry, supporting the U.S. government, including other senior roles at Americom Government Services, Inc., iDirect Technologies, Loral Orion, GTE Spacenet, Hughes Network Systems and Northern Telecom.

Ms. Warren is Vice President, Technology Policy and Regulation, for Government and Regulatory Affairs at Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Washington Operations. Ms. Warren is responsible for managing the development and implementation of strategies of domestic and international technical policy and regulatory matters, and has held senior positions at Lockheed Martin since 1996. Prior to her work at Lockheed Martin, Ms. Warren held senior regulatory and policy positions at the FCC in the International Bureau, and worked at the Commission of the European Union, in Brussels and in Washington, D.C.
