Grupo Abril, one of the largest diversified media groups in Latin America, has launched MTV Brasil, its main TV channel for cable distribution in Brazil, on the SES NEW SKIES' NSS-806 satellite at the orbital location of 319.5° E. MTV Brasil is the third channel of Grupo Abril to launch on SES NEW SKIES’ NSS-806 satellite, alongside Ideal, a business television channel focused on management and career development, and Fiz, a youth channel targeting the Web 2.0 generation, produced by Grupo Abril subsidiary Canais Abril.
