SkyRAY Light IPS HD for live video streaming — Equipped with the latest SkyWAN® VSAT modem with a full set of IP functionalities and an advanced H.264/MPEG-4 AVC HD/SD and MPEG-2 encoder for the highest video quality per bandwidth performance and with the lowest latency (350s) on the market for high profile up to 4:2:2 chroma format, SkyRAY Light IPS HD is ND SatCom’s new VSAT application for mobile IP video broadcasting.

Media Fleet ManagerOpenStreetMaps as well as meteorological data such as storm warnings and weather charts provide a field-proven broadcast scheduling system for remote planning, scheduling and booking of transmission resources with extensive geographic data. Fully automated SNG/ENG fleets and fixed uplink/downlink stations are networked with ND SatCom’s SkyWAN® technology.

Advanced RCU 5000 — The 2RU component for redundant VSAT as well as mobile and fixed uplink station configurations in the broadcast world is designed for controlling the whole uplink chain including, modulator, upconverter and high power amplifiers. The controller contains inhibit functionality and manages 1:1 to 3:1 redundant transmit chains. A fully graphical color display with animated block diagrams make the RCU 5000 easy to operate.

New ACU generation — All functionalities of ND SatCom’s Antenna Pointing System (APS) are integrated into the 2RU ACU components for fixed and mobile uplinks. This new generation provides space-saving, reliable antenna control without being dependent on a PC. If needed, each ACU can be remotely controlled by a web browser. A color display supports usability and minimal technical training.
