  • On Demand Group has announced that broadband television operator TTNET has launched its IPTV service, Tivibu Ev in Turkey, in a move to further upgrade its innovative Tivibu brand and range of services. TTNET’s Tivibu Web TV service, which launched one year ago, has already reached almost one-million subscribers. TTNET is also making Tivibu Cep, a mobile version of Tivibu, available in the second quarter of the year. On Demand Group is TTNET’s international video-on-demand content management partner for the Tivibu Web TV and IPTV service, and has assisted TTNET in developing a compelling line up of blockbuster and classic movies, favourite TV series and kids programming, and the latest music videos.

  • SES ASTRA is now cooperating with Deutsche Telekom in Germany to combine the broad satellite free-TV offer of SES ASTRA, including HD+, with Deutsche Telekom`s IPTV product Entertain. This combo of satellite TV and content services is known as Entertain Sat. The offer will include all free-to-air, TV and radio channels in SD + HD currently aired by SES ASTRA including HD+ as well as the typical Entertain services such as Video on Demand, a TV archive, and an Electronic Program Guide. Entertain Sat also comprises time shift functions and hard disk recording with 500 GB memory. Flat rate telephony and Internet will also be included. Entertain Sat will be available for households all across Germany with a DSL connection of at least 3 Mbit/s. HD+ is a platform launched by SES ASTRA in Germany for access to free-TV programmes in HD.
