Moving On Up... New Chief Scientist Named By Earth-i


[SatNews] Earth-i, the master distributor of imaging and data services from the DMC3/TripleSat constellation, has announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Hausknecht to the company's team of prominent and experienced individuals from the Earth Observation (EO) industry.


Earth-i's recently named Chief Scientist, Dr. Peter Hausknecht.

Peter, who becomes Earth-i’s Chief Scientist, is a seasoned subject matter expert in EO. He has worked with a multitude of sensors and data sets on airborne and spaceborne instruments during his career which has spanned over 25 years.
 
Dr. Hausknecht holds a PhD in Geoscience from Munich University. He has been a key team member at numerous organisations in the sector including: The German Aerospace Centre, Fugro Airborne Surveys in Australia, and the HyVista Corporation. Prior to joining Earth-i, Peter spent eight years working for Woodside—Australia’s leading Oil & Gas company—as the subject matter expert on EO and remote sensing.
 
At an international level, Hausknecht was a founding member of the Oil & Gas Earth Observation (OGEO) interest group and also chairman of the International Association for Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) sub-committee on EO.
