Sevis Systems... Backhaul Benefits For Rural Reclamations (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Sevis Systems, Inc. has launched a highly available, high density addition to its...

... suite of carrier-class 6000 Series mobile backhaul optimization platforms. The scalable and cost effective model 6116 optimizes mobile traffic on 16 E1 links over a variety of WAN infrastructures such as satellite, IP, digital leased E1 lines, and Ethernet. The 6116 enables 2G/3G mobile operators to realize their primary goal of delivering high quality, reliable mobile services to rural areas while sustaining and increasing margins. Its high port density and redundancy features equip it for high capacity central site (BSC) installations paired with the model 6104 at the BTS (the 6116 is also well suited for higher capacity BTS applications and is fully compatible with existing 6000 Series models to address the growth requirements of already-optimized infrastructure).  The 6116 supports packet-based/IP (10/100/1000 Ethernet) and E1 WAN interfaces for optimization over terrestrial, microwave or satellite infrastructures.  It leverages Sevis' best in class GSM A.bis and Iub intelligent optimization algorithms that are proven to decrease bandwidth consumption and lower the operating costs of satellite, microwave, and terrestrial infrastructure.

With the 6116 complementing Sevis’ existing lineup, its customers will continue to depend on the 6000 Series to lower operating expenses and minimize required capital investment in the Radio Access Network (RAN). Deployed globally by major cellular operators, the Sevis 6000 Series of backhaul optimization solutions are proven to operate seamlessly with leading RAN vendors including Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, and ZTE.
