...a replacement flight following system for their seaplane fleet. Harbour Air recognized the benefits of installing a common solution across their fleet, and increased situational awareness was a key requirement. They were looking for a solution that was easy to use, easy to service and provided reliable data. The system also needed to allow real time tracking of aircraft times for maintenance scheduling. With these factors in mind, Harbour Air’s investigation led them to SkyTrac System’s portable flight following product, the DSAT-300. Since installation, Harbour Air has seen the SkyTrac solution provide better situational awareness of the entire fleet and it enables us to notify customers with updated arrival times. When noise complaints are received, Harbour Air has the data available to address the concern and determine if their aircrafts were involved or not.
