UltiSat Europe... Easing The Acquisition Cost (SATCOM)

[SatNews] This sole source contract is with Danish government entities and NGOs...

UltiSat Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of UltiSat, Inc., has been awarded a sole-source contract by the Danish National Procurement Ltd., Denmark; Statens og Kommunernes Indkobs Service A/S (SKI) in Copenhagen. This contract allows Danish federal and local government agencies and entities and certain nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to buy satellite communication service more easily and cost effectively. Such services include satellite telephony, data services, equipment, and technical assistance. Following a public tender that focused on operational stability, reliability, and cost effectiveness, UltiSat Europe's framework agreement will provide products and services in a manner that results in less administration, an efficient ordering process, and continued certainty on prices, terms, and commercial conditions. Designed to cover the needs of the Danish Military and its specific communication requirements in the field, this new contract is also relevant to other Danish municipal departments and agencies in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. The agreement is based on a two-year term with options for two additional twelve-month extensions with an expected annual value of approx. DKK 10 million (US$1.8 million).
