AsiaSat Activities Are Rewarded By Frost & Sullivan


Frost & Sullivan Pacific ICT Awards homepage Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) has won the Satellite Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific at the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards.

This is the second time in three years AsiaSat has received this leading industry award — also the second accolade that AsiaSat received during the year recognizing its exceptional performance in the past year. The Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards is held annually to recognize top performing companies and individuals who demonstrated outstanding performance in the ICT sector in Asia Pacific. The winner of the Satellite Service Provider of the Year award was selected by a panel of independent judges comprised of industry senior executives from the ICT industry and Frost & Sullivan analysts, with the award based on the company's revenue performance and growth, utilization, and coverage, major wins, and key achievements.

In March, AsiaSat was voted Best Asian Satellite Carrier by Telecom Asia magazine at the 2009 Telecom Asia Awards, for the third time in four years. Also in March, AsiaSat CEO Peter Jackson, was inducted into The Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI)'s Satellite Hall of Fame for his valuable contributions to the satellite communications industry.
