MDA Space Structures, a business unit of Canadian aerospace company MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates, Ltd. (TSX:MDA) has been acquired by Spacesystems Acquisition Co., LLC, an affiliate of investment firm Admiralty Partners, Inc.

The Space Structures business specializes in the construction of custom, build-to-print composite structures primarily for the space and satellite markets. The transaction closed on December 31, 2012.
