CEO Craig Clark being handed the Arthur award by Tim Peake.
Clyde Space has won the Sir Arthur Clarke Award for Achievement in Space Commerce at the recent UK Space Conference in Warwick. The award was presented to Craig Clark, the Company's CEO, by the UK ESA Astronaut, Tim Peake, at the Awards dinner. This award is significant for the Company for a number of reasons and the entire team at Clyde Space is grateful for the recognition for all of the hard work and determination over recent years. In particular, the team have taken the Clyde Space vision from a concept in 2005 through to being a market leading company in the field of CubeSats with a 24 strong team of engineers in 2011. This has also involved bringing a new industry sector to Glasgow, Scotland, which was previously more famous for building ships rather than spaceships, in addition to the Company's current work in designing and building their first satellite mission with UKube-1, which will also be the first satellite to be produced in Scotland.
