....to continue to provide state-of-the-art satellite services to GlobeCast Australia, continuing its successful relationship built with GlobeCast over the past 15 years. GlobeCast, a leading platform operator for international channels covering the Australian and New Zealand markets, uses the Optus D2 satellite to deliver DTH services across the region. The company specializes in live digital delivery in SD, HD and 3D, as well as services for sporting events. Under the terms of the new contract, Optus will continue to provide a range of services to GlobeCast, including the provision of direct to home broadcast services on its D2 satellite. The services play out of the GlobeCast broadcast center in Sydney, are uplinked from the Optus Belrose Earth Station in New South Wales and cover a customer footprint that includes Australia and New Zealand.
