One of the magic numbers in SatNews Publisher's CEO Silvano Payne's bag of clubs is "Fore"... have no idea why, save for the fact that each year at PTC '10 in Hawaii he seems to have a tendency to visit the links with fellow executives in the SATCOM industry. Take, for example, his latest golf excursion with Dr. Ubong Ko from the KT Satellite Group and Christoper Richmond, senior vice president with Orbital Sciences (left to right) into the golf tournament hosted by Orbital Sciences for show attendees. Obviously, a most memorable time was had by all, given the breadth and width of smiles offered in this photo. Also quite obvious is the fact that Mr. Payne himself is absent in the photo — note that the hands of the smiling execs are not shown, a fairly obvious indication that they are receiving the wagering payoff from Mr. Payne for his lackluster performance on the back nine. No such thing as all work and no golf at PTC'10! Thankfully, the conference itself enabled attendees to network with numerous industry leaders and gave all the ability to strengthen their relationships as well as give birth to new partnerships and collaborations.
