Making Market Entrance Is KRYTAR's Compact Broadband Directional Coupler

[SatNews] KRYTAR, Inc. announces the continued expansion of its growing line of directional couplers with a new model offering 6 dB of Coupling over the frequency range of 10.0 to 67.0 GHz, in a single, compact and lightweight package.

KRYTAR’s latest addition enhances the selection of multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling over a broadband frequency range of 10.0 to 67.0 GHz. Model 110067006 expands the KRYTAR family of superior performance directional coupler products.

This new coupler is uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR couplers offer solutions for many applications including electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, SATCOM, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted applications the compact size makes KRYTAR directional couplers ideal solutions.

KRYTAR’s new coupler, Model 110067006, offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 6 dB, ±2.5 dB, and Frequency Sensitivity of ±0.75 dB to 50 GHz, and ±1.50 dB to 67 GHz. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 4.40 dB, Directivity of greater than 10 dB, Maximum Main Line VSWR is 1.8. Secondary Line VSWR is 1.8 at 10-50 GHz, and 2.3 at 50-67 GHz.

Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The directional coupler comes with industry-standard 1.85-mm SMA female connectors. The compact package measures just 1.30 inches (L) x 0.50 inches (W) x 0.62 inches (H), and weighs only 1.3 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. This new directional coupler can also be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
