Spacenet Inc has launched a strategic alliance program to offer integrated digital media services. As part of the new strategic program, STRATACACHE has joined as one of Spacenet's Digital Media Alliance charter members.

Digital media applications, including digital signage and interactive distance learning, are increasingly being used by businesses as a way to increase revenues, lower employee training costs, and improve efficiencies. The Spacenet Digital Media Alliance combines the expertise of some of the most respected companies in their fields to provide a single-source solution for digital content delivery. The alliance was developed with large enterprise environments in mind, such as big box retail and restaurant chains, that have hundreds or even thousands of geographically dispersed locations. With a focus on scalability and commercial grade quality of service, the new alliance simplifies the challenge of implementing solutions for digital signage, interactive distance learning, and other applications for IP content delivery. The customized turnkey solutions provided by alliance members include content creation and management, display systems, multicast services, satellite and common carrier transport, and in-store installation and integration. As a Digital Signage Alliance member, STRATACACHE and Spacenet will work together to provide an integrated end-to-end solution to customers. STRATACACHE will provide its digital signage, IP-BTV, content acceleration, content distribution and content management services, and Spacenet will provide its high-performance network services to enable cost-effective delivery of content to multiple locations via satellite.
