The distinguished winners share their thoughts...

Global Satellite Operator of the Year

Telesat, Dan Goldberg, President & CEO
"Telesat is grateful for Euroconsult's recognition of the significant organic growth we achieved in 2013. Our performance was the result of the collective expertise, dedication and hard work of the Telesat team and is a reflection of the confidence our customers have in our ability to support their mission critical requirements and the capabilities of our satellite fleet. We will seek continued growth in the years ahead by delivering unparalleled customer service and by deploying innovative satellite platforms."

Strategic Transaction of the Year

Eutelsat, Michel de Rosen, Chairman & CEO
"We are honored to accept this recognition from industry experts in our sector. The addition of Satmex, now Eutelsat Americas, complemented by the EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite, has given us an exceptional platform to grow our activity in Latin America. The quality and experience of the team, under the leadership of Patricio Northland, strengthens our company-wide skills as we strive to deliver our customers value, impeccable service and ideas for the future."

Regional FSS Operator of the Year

Gazprom Space Systems, Dmitry Sevastiyanov, Director General
"Gazprom Space Systems is a Russian satellite operator. Its orbital constellation consists of three Yamal satellites and covers the biggest part of the Eastern Hemisphere. Also the company has a wide ground infrastructure in Russia. Thanks to commissioning of the new satellites Yamal 300К and Yamal-402 Gazprom Space Systems expanded the geography of business, entering the African market and increasing the presence in the Middle East. The revenue of the company in 2013 grew by 29 percent. The next Yamal-401 satellite will be launched this year."

Newcomer Satellite Operator of the Year

Es'hailSat, Ali Al Kuwari, CEO
"We are immensely grateful and proud to receive this award from our peers in the international satellite industry. Having launched Es'hail 1 just over one year ago, the satellite is very much in demand and is currently transmitting channel bouquets for premium broadcasters such as Al Jazeera and beIN Sports. Es'hail 2 has been contracted and we are working on our own satellite control centre in Doha. This is a strong foundation on which we can continue to build a world-class satellite operator and center of excellence in the MENA region."
