Brüel & Kjær—Good Vibrations Conference Sessions (Events—Training)

[SatNews] Thousands of environmental and industrial professionals have expanded their career horizons by attending Brüel & Kjær’s sound and vibration conference training sessions.

Registration is now open for the company’s 2014 Sound & Vibration Conference, running from September 23rd to September 25th at The Inn, Michigan, USA. Brüel & Kjær’s courses are taught by practicing industry experts with many decades of cumulative experience, and feature the latest technology available. The courses are ideal for engineers working in industries including automotive, consumer, aerospace, telecommunications, audio, computers, and environmental consulting.

Courses include a three-day practical introduction to the subject of vibration testing, entitled 'LDS Introduction to Vibration'. This explains how to interpret vibration test specifications and apply them to a vibration test system. There is also a two-day PULSE system training course, which aims to teach attendees about setting up, using and modifying PULSE projects, as well as reporting of data and other data export/import operations.

For technicians and engineers seeking an introduction to product and environmental noise assessment, there is a 'Principles of Acoustics' session, which covers the understanding, measurement and description of sound and noise. It will include an explanation of acoustical terminology, and of the means of assessing noise in typical applications including sound intensity, sound quality and workplace noise.
