[SatNews] The Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX) a task order to be performed under the U.S. General Services Administration Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services contract with an initial annual value of $1 million.
This task order is a follow-on to a contract recently completed by SRA for the Space Surveillance Network Analysis Model (SSNAM). SRA will support DoD’s Headquarters Air Force Space Command Directorate by performing studies of current and potentially future operational capabilities in support of Space Surveillance Network (SSN) Force Structure analyses, the integrated planning process, and program objective memoranda. The SSNAM is a large-scale simulation model with capabilities to simulate and assess the effects on operational high-accuracy and general satellite catalog accuracy metrics and SSN response metrics due to changes in SSN force structure, including ground-based radar and optical sensors as well as space-based optical and infrared sensors. SRA will provide technical support to operational studies, adjustments and tuning of the model's environment to meet formal verification and validation requirements, and integration of new and modified sensor models.
