MITEQ—Technology Showcase @ EMC 2014 (Event—EMI)

[SatNews] Electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing is required by law by commercial, medical, automotive, and military customers—MITEQ, a microwave electronics designer and manufacturer, will be at EMC 2014 showcasing their latest products in EMI compliance...

Battery Powered Tabletop Amplifiers (TTABP)

The latest addition to MITEQ's Table Top Amplifier (TTA) Series of high performance Broadband Low Noise Amplifiers is a new battery-operated version, which allows for as much as 10 hours of continuous use a single charge. This battery option can be purchased as a separate add on [TTABP] if the customer already owns a TTA or supplied internal in a single enclosure at the time of the order as a TTAB. This series of amplifiers covers both the Commercial/Medical and Military bands for emissions testing and comes with MITEQ’s standard three-year warranty. A universal wall plug in power supply is included with each TTA which operates from 50-60 Hz / 100-240 VAC. CE approved; TTAB also comes with a separate battery charger. The TTAB is enclosed in a slightly larger case [6.5" L x 6.5" W x 2.0" H] than the TTA case [5.1" L x 3.5" W x 1.9" H].

Low-Noise Block (LNB) Converters with RF coverage of 18-40GHz
Low-Noise Block Converters with RF coverage of 18-40GHz convert to IF frequencies into the range of customers’ existing equipment. These wide RF/IF bandwidth frequency converters, with fixed LO frequencies (block converters), are commonly used to process millimeter wave signals with less expensive receivers below 18GHz. The LNB series, with its 4dB noise figure permits operation at low input signal powers. In addition, the PM noise of the converter is minimized by a phase-locked and multiplied internal LO source.

MITEQ’s LNBF-2440-05 Low-Noise Block Converter
MITEQ’s fiber optic links offer a high dynamic range [>100dB] for transmission of low level signals over long distances without interference. This converter offers a very wide instantaneous bandwidth of 16 GHz. The LNBF unit incorporates a fixed frequency 42 GHz Phase Locked Local Oscillator and Low Phase-Noise OCXO. Reference Oscillator to convert the full 24 to 40GHz RF-band down to a 2 to 18GHz IF-band. The unit also includes a 16GHz instantaneous bandwidth fiber optic transmitter. The LNBF is packaged in a 5 x 5-inch ruggedized aluminum housing with an integrated heatsink. The SCMR-18G optical receiver unit is packaged in a miniature 0.8 x 0.7-inch housing. Standard optical connectors are FC/APC type.

MITEQ offers a wide array of products that can aid in the EMI testing required by Commercial, Medical, Automotive and Military customers, including Low Noise Amplifiers to 40GHz for emissions testing, Block converters extending frequency coverage of test instruments up to 40GHz, Analog Fiber optic links for EMI immune signal transmission, and customized compliance solutions.

MITEQ will be exhibiting at Booth 223 from August 3 - 8 at the EMC 2014 Show in Raleigh, North Carolina.
