[SatNews] Colem announced the company will be demo'ing its latest Spectrum Analysis feature at CommunicAsia this month. With help from Novella SatComs, Colem can add this “software-only” feature to its X-Mobile systems fitted with any Novella Beacon receiver within an SNG or FlyAway terminal. This powerful software control enables feature rich operations, without the need to add more hardware. This, in turn, keeps costs down, as well as weight, something which is paramount for FlyAway terminals.
Colem’s X-Mobile system is designed to simplify and automate where necessary the every-day tasks of operating a satellite terminal in the field. It has also been designed to allow integration in to larger automation systems and allow advanced client remote control and system setup. “We are constantly improving our SNG and FlyAway Automation product range, adding enhanced features throughout,” commented Martin Coleman, Director at Colem. “We are currently working on our MediaNetSched product and integrating this as another powerful feature – watch this space!” This option will be used as Colem’s next generation of Self Regulating, Interference Checking solutions being developed. The Spectrum Analysis feature will be demonstrated on the Novella SatComs stand at CommunicAsia, stand 6H1-05.
