BroadcastAsia + CommunicAsia 2011... New Location For Conferences (Event)

BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia — the unique Singapore-based exhibition and conference — looks set for a major success next year as it completes plans to relocate to the city's vibrant financial and hotel district.

The joint events bring together digital media and infocomm technologies, providing the largest and most established business networking platform for the broadcasting, media and ICT industries anywhere in Asia. Previously held at the Singapore Expo, the events' move to the downtown venues will enable visitors to cut down on travel time. More importantly, Suntec Singapore and the newly-opened Marina Bay Sands Singapore offer a greater number and variety of conference and hospitality facilities. This availability of facilities allows for the growth of the BroadcastAsia International Conference and CommunicAsia Summit, as well as associated forums and professionals workshops. As the sharing of industry knowledge and closed door meetings become an increasingly important component of international trade events, the availability of purpose built conference facilities became a decisive factor in the relocation of these iconic global events.

For added convenience, trade visitors will only have to register once at either event. Those who have registered and obtained their entry badges at BroadcastAsia will be able to enter CommunicAsia, and vice versa, simply by displaying their badges. The last edition of BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia saw the participation of over 55,000 industry visitors, conference speakers and delegates, exhibiting staff and members of the media. International attendees made up more than half (56 per cent) of the total participation and arrived from over 100 countries and regions from all corners of the globe. The exhibitions, which featured about 2,000 exhibitors in 2010, serve as strategic platforms for companies to launch their breakthrough innovations to Asia and the world. The congregation of business leaders, government officials and industry professionals also make the events the ideal setting for high level business networking and knowledge sharing.

BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia are organized by Singapore Exhibition Services and hosted by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). Shows at a glance:
