International Datacasting Pushing Protection For MILSATCOM Broadcasting

Now all set to upgrade and retrofit the encryption/scrambling/conditional access system protecting a prominent global military satellite broadcast network is Novra Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NVI) wholly-owned subsidiary, International Datacasting Corporation ("IDC").

The  $1.3 million CAD order is from a Fortune 500 US defense contractor and IDC will supply the latest generation of their Cyphercast security platform to provide encrypted addressable delivery for point-to-multipoint broadcast of satellite IP transmissions. Cyphercast is securing streaming video, audio, and data transmitted to IDC's SFX Pro Data satellite receivers as well as software clients inside PCs and laptops. The deliveries of hardware and software will commence in December and continue into the second quarter of 2017.

IDC President and CFO, Steven Archambault, commented that ecure satellite broadcasting is a fundamental part of his firm's business and they continue to expand and build on this technology to further support customers as cybersecurity threats increase in urgency.
