Es’hailSat, The Qatar Satellite Company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) for the joint development of satellite services.
Es’hailSat, represented by its President and CEO, Mr. Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, and QCAA, represented by its Chairman, Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Subaey, signed the major cooperation agreement that will see Es’hailSat providing satellite services to the Meteorological Department under QCAA. Es’hailSat and the Meteorological Department will share services and experience in line with the shared interest towards achieving Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and the ongoing projects for Qatar’s 2022 World Cup.
Es’hailSat and QCAA also agreed to cooperate in joint investments in Earth Observation (EO) satellites and the dissemination of vital data and information to stakeholders and other relevant local and international organizations. This agreement enables both parties to provide satellite communications for disaster warnings and management during emergencies.
Es’hailSat’s President & CEO, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari indicated that his company's agreement with QCAA enhances Es'hailSat's efforts in supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.
