CETel Group (Central European Telecom Services) has introduced their VSAT platform services Sky-Direct, powered by Romantis Universal Hardware Platform (UHP) technology. The satellite service is bridging the technologies that are commonly applied in today’s satellite communication services, such as TDMA, DVB-S2, SCPC. Depending on the software activated, Sky-Direct can either function as a HUB or Remote and can be operated in any technology and any topology and size. The platform can be used in hub-based or hubless networks and functions ideal from individual sites to fully meshed networks. This flexibility plus the economic pricing makes Sky-Direct an ideal solution for companies with successive development and growth in their networks. “This new service platform with the combination of advanced technologies will further emphasize our service portfolio in order to fulfil each individual customer demand with the best fitting solution” said Guido Neumann, Managing Director of CETel Group.
For the promotion of Sky-Direct to the markets, CETel Group partners with Romantis, the vendor of Universal Hardware Platform (UHP). With the agreement, CETel Group will host and operate several Sky-Direct platforms at its own Teleport facilities near Bonn, Germany, and will provide requested satellite services over Sky-Direct for interested customers.
