AIAA... Critical Communication Colloquium (Event)


[SatNews] Government, military and industry decision makers involved in provisioning critical communications to America’s warfighters should not miss the AIAA ICSSC-2010 Colloquium. In its 44th year, the AIAA ICSSC is the premier technical forum on communications satellite systems.

The ICSSC Colloquium is an essential platform for sharing and exchanging valuable information about military satellite communications capabilities and dual-use satellites for meeting the needs of our armed forces around the globe. The keynote speaker is Douglas Loverro, the Executive Director, USAF Space & Missile Center.

The Colloquium char is Dr. Denis J. Curtin, Former Chief Operating Officer, XTAR, LLC. Speaking will be Colonel Charles H. Cynamon, USAF Commander, MILSATCOM Advanced Concepts,“Evolving Big-A Acquisition processes to leverage commercial SATCOM opportunities”. Additional confirmed panel speakers include:
  • John Celli, President, Space Systems/Loral
  • Kay Sears, President, Intelsat General Corp.
  • Col. David Uhrich, JFCOM/J6
  • Brig. Gen. (Retired) John Wormington, Aerospace Corporation

AIAA ICSSC-2010 Colloquium attendees will gain an increased appreciation for the complex technical, funding and applications issues related specifically to MILSATCOM. They will understand the many ways in which industry and the DoD are working together to streamline bandwidth acquisition and provision of services to the warfighter on the front line.
