Mario Querner, VP, Asia, Newtec.

...Mario Querner as the company’s new VP Asia. He has more than 25 years of international business experience in telecommunications and media working in both Europe and Asia. He will lead the business activities for Newtec in Asia and the Pacific. Prior to joining Newtec, Mario Querner worked as Head for South-East Asia at ECI Telecom, based in Singapore. He also worked in a number of other leading telecommunication infrastructure and media solution providers such as Technicolor, formerly Thomson, in charge of sales in APAC-EMEA for Digital Home Solutions, based in Paris and as Managing Director and Country Senior Officer in Indonesia for Alcatel-Lucent. Mario Querner has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Science in Braunschweig/Wolfenbuettel (Germany) and a degree in business administration from Brunel University (United Kingdom). Based in Singapore, Mario will manage Newtec’s Singapore and Beijing offices.

In 2011, Newtec has marked ten years in Asia and the company is a member of the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC) and the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA).
