Real Image Ltd. has signed a contract with provider of satellite communications Planetsky Ltd. for the provision of broadband services to Sub-Saharan Africa. Real Image introduced high-speed internet in Swaziland in 1999, as the solution Planetsky has engineered for Real image will be a first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. Under the contract, Planetsky will provide Real Image with a complete turnkey, self managed, platform for the provision of one-way satellite broadband DVB-IP service to Real Image’s customers. End users of the service will subsequently notice increased performance and higher download speed. Real Image is an independent Swaziland Internet Service Provider and Computer Company offering Internet Connectivity, Web Publishing, E-Commerce, Business and Hosting services plus a full range of computer related services. Real Image Internet provides Internet connectivity via its upstream partners, from two teleports situated in South Africa and Europe. In South Africa, connectivity is provided from the local IP backbone (which includes international Internet connectivity) and in Europe directly from the first-tier international IP backbone.
