[SatNews] Since 1995, the World Teleport Association (WTA) has presented annual awards to companies and individuals who have dramatically demonstrated excellence in the field of teleport operations, development and technology.

Winners receive a presentation photograph, an Award, and assistance with promotion of their achievement. The Teleport Awards for Excellence are presented during the annual SATELLITE conference and exhibition in Washington DC during a luncheon ceremony to which WTA members are invited and SATELLITE attendees may attend by paying a small registration fee.

Awards Categories:

• Independent Teleport Operator of the Year
• Teleport Technology of the Year
• WTA will also present the award for Teleport Executive of the Year

The awards will be presented on Tuesday, March 11, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place NW
Washington, DC, in Room 146C.
