Ka-Band Solid State Amplifiers Contract for IFC Received by Comtech Xicom Technology



New solid-state, certified in-cabin and out-of-cabin airborne solutions

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) announced that during the firm's second quarter of fiscal 2020, their Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc. (which is part of Comtech's Commercial Solutions segment) received a contract valued at more than $8.8 million for Ka-band solid-state amplifiers to be used in an In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) SATCOM application.

Fred Kornberg, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. stated the company incorporated the latest Gallium Nitride (“GaN”) solid-state technology for use in a new cabin external application. The company has shipped more than 2,000 airborne amplifiers to date and continues to expand the firm's presence in this growing market.
