The MF-TDMA VSAT network connects the Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) headquarters, offices and regional centers in a full mesh network. All sites will support a complex mix of voice and data communications. This expansion to the CAAC VSAT network brings the total network size to date to more than 100 air traffic stations, consisting of more than 200 VSAT terminals providing full mesh connectivity. This network supports the efficient and safe management of air traffic as well as dissemination of important flight related data requiring highly reliable multi-service communication links between key airports, region control centers, beacons and remote control sites. The traffic consists of voice, meteorological, radar, and automatic terminal information services (ATIS) information. PolarSat’s VSAT equipment provides a full mesh, hubless network with no single point of failure and supports the most demanding network applications, including high quality voice, low and high-speed data, video conferencing and fax — all in a single low-cost, integrated platform. Combined with the unique direct E1 telephony and Frame Relay interface, providing a most cost-effective satellite communications solution for multi-line and/or multi-application networks.
