Simon Watts, chief engineer at Hughes Europe, will be a keynote speaker at the forthcoming Global VSAT Forum Broadband Maritime Europe Conference, and will discuss the critical role of satellite-based mobile communications solutions for emergency preparedness and response, especially in geographically remote areas. The 5th Annual Conference will be held at the Strand Palace Hotel, London, from June 28th to 29th and is a key event in the maritime industry calendar, bringing together operators and vendors in open-forum discussion. This year’s focus is on evolutionary developments in maritime communications technology and services across Europe and globally.
