u-blox’ automotive-grade UBX-G5010 GPS receiver chip and GALILEO-ready UBX-G5000/G0010 flash-based chipset fulfill the AEC-Q100 standard, defined by the Automotive Electronics Council as a “Stress Test for Qualification of Integrated Circuits”, and are produced in ISO TS-16949 qualified fabs. Components that are AEC-Q100 compliant are suitable for use in harsh automotive environments without additional component level qualification.
