[SatNews] As part of the five-year base with one five-year option period Modernization of Enterprise Terminal (MET) contract with an estimated ceiling price of $820M, Quintech will be providing RSS 0070 switches, SRR 2150 Switches and AMP2150 amplifiers to Harris Corporation.
This will support Harris development of nexgen global military satellite communications terminals for the U.S. Department of Defense. The MET program is going to replace as many as 80 older AN/GSC-52, GSC-39, FSC-78 satellite communications terminal around the world with the new dual simultaneous X-/Ka-band operation terminals. These terminals will work with the new Wideband Global Satellite constellation as well as legacy satellite systems. These systems range in size from a transportable 7.2 -meters antenna to a fixed, 12.2 -meters antenna; and will offer full electromagnetic pulse protection. These will all be part of Teleport and Standardized tactical entry points across the globe. Harris is the prime contractor and Quintech is pleased that they have been selected for the project. Quintech has worked closely with Harris engineers to develop solutions that will meet the specific needs for the project.
