[SatNews] Satellite communications provider, Satcom Global, has just appointed a new Vice President of Global Business Development.

The promotion came to Peter Liberi, who joined Satcom Global in November of 2008, and brings with him more than 20 years of satellite communications experience in the MSS and VSAT markets. Since joining Satcom Global, he has focused on the US Market and contributed to the expansion of business in that Region. In his expanded role as VP of Global Business Development, Liberi will focus on global sales growth within the company’s key sectors of Maritime, Government, B2B, and Enterprise as well as expanding the group’s VSAT services within these verticals. He will also help launch Satcom Global’s newest offering, Horizon, a portfolio of products including ultra low bandwidth VoIP and optimized data over satellite in pre-paid and post paid markets.
