An Awarding Day At World Satellite Business Week

These prestigious awards are the industry’s highest accolade, recognizing exceptional performance in several categories. The Excellence in Satellite Management Awards are presented each year at the World Satellite Business Week, the industry’s annual summit for senior executives. The winners of the 5th Awards for Excellence in Satellite Management are:
  • FSS Operator of the Year - Growth & Profits: Eutelsat
  • Strategic Transaction of the Year – Mergers & Acquisitions: SKY Perfect JSAT Holding
  • Regional Operator of the Year - Best Development: MEASAT
  • MSS Operator of the Year - Growth, Profits and Innovation: Iridium
  • Broadband Satellite System Operator of the Year: Hughes Network Systems
Winners are selected by a jury of industry experts from Euroconsult, Space News, and Satellite Finance. The jury uses a stringent set of criteria defined for each category, including both quantitative evaluations (such as financial performance indicators, subscriber growth, units deployed etc) and qualitative assessments (innovation, strategic decisions and impact, etc.).
