Susan, who started in January 2012 will head up the firm’s operations in North and South America, from the Thrane & Thrane Inc. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Joining Thrane & Thrane Inc. from her previous role as Senior Vice President of Sales Engineering and Operations at ORBCOMM and having held executive positions at Caprock, Comsat and Intelsat, Susan is a seasoned senior telecommunications executive. She has devoted her entire career to the communications sector and brings with her extensive experience in technology, strategy & business development, and operations management.
Susan obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Syracuse University, NY, her Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MBA from George Washington University. She is currently serving a two year term on the board of Women in Aerospace, an organization dedicated to expanding women's opportunities for leadership and increasing their visibility in the aerospace community.
