Hughes Network Systems... Occurring In Oregon


[SatNews] Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES) has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the State of Oregon to provide services via its SPACEWAY 3 satellite system. The contract, available to state agencies, local governments, and school districts that are members of the Oregon Cooperative Purchasing Program, is for a term of three years and may be extended up to three additional years.

Under the terms of the contract (Number 9960), State of Oregon and public sector entities may purchase the following services to be delivered via the Hughes SPACEWAY 3 satellite system...
  • Broadband Internet, including downlink speeds of up to five (5) Mbps and uplink speeds of up to one (1) Mbps
  • Full turnkey help desk support for Internet access
  • Optional Internet Protocol (IP) Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity to provide videoconferencing, Voice over IP (VoIP), data sharing and applications, and content distribution for remote software upgrades
