KRYTAR—Coupling Expertise For Directional Control (Components | Equipment)

[SatNews] KRYTAR, Inc. has continued the expansion of its line of directional couplers with the addition of three new models offering high performance over the ultra-broadband frequency range of 0.5 to 26.5GHz, each in a single, compact and lightweight package.

KRYTAR’s new directional couplers continue to expand the family of superior performance products offering ultra-broadband coverage in compact packages. KRYTAR’s Model 152610, Model 152616 and Model 152620 are multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling over the 0.5 to 26.5GHz frequency band. Targeting broadband electronic warfare (EW) systems and commercial wireless system applications, for example, KRYTAR’s directional couplers are extremely valuable in a wide array of applications including signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, cable distributed systems, and military and EMC testing environments. The compact size, makes these directional couplers ideal solutions in many space-restricted applications.

KRYTAR’s superior technological designs have enhanced the product line with superior performance ratings:

  • Model 152610 includes Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 10dB, ±1.0dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±1.0dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.5dB
  • Model 152616 offers Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 16dB, ±1.0dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±1.2dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.4dB
  • Model 152620 exhibits Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 20dB, ±1.0dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±1.5dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.35dB

Common to each of these new directional couplers is Directivity of >13dB. Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.45, Input Power Rating is 20W average and 3kW peak. All directional couplers come with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors and are compact packages measuring 4.40 inches (L) x 0.38 inches (W) x 0.73 inches (H), and weigh just 2.3 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. These directional stripline couplers can also be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
