[SatNews] A joint demonstration that showcases a fully integrated multichannel playout, transcoding and monitoring solution will be featured on the Miranda stand, 8.D41 at IBC 2013, with Elemental Technologies.
The demonstration will highlight the companies’ respective technologies with a combination of Miranda’s iTX integrated playout platform, Kaleido multiviewers and the iControl video network management systems with Elemental® Live video encoders and Elemental® Conductor video management system. The integration of these technologies satisfies the growing need for broadcasters to playout content to multiple platforms from an integrated environment and protects investments in video infrastructure as the industry evolves.
Simulated channel content originated from Miranda’s iTX output servers will be forwarded to Elemental Live encoders where simultaneous processing and encoding of multiple adaptive bit rate outputs will enable high quality, high-efficiency live video streams to be delivered to a broad range of devices such as PCs, tablets, smartphones and more.
The demonstration’s video processing and distribution processes will be managed by Miranda’s iControl, a highly advanced content monitoring and control system used in conjunction with Miranda’s Kaleido multiviewers to enable operators of multichannel playout facilities to closely monitor the quality, performance and destination of all channels.
Elemental Live is a software upgradable video processing system that creates multiple adaptive bit rate video outputs to deliver live streaming to any device. Elemental Live is designed to integrate seamlessly into end-to-end real-time playout platforms such as Miranda’s iTX to optimize multiscreen video delivery. Elemental Live encoders are administered by Elemental Conductor, a scalable software system that provides control and management of multiple Elemental Live units.
The demo will be ongoing at IBC 2013 on Miranda’s stand, 8.D41.
