Integral... Realigning The COMPASS (NMS)

[SatNews] Integral Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: ISYS) announced at the SATCON Satellite and Content Delivery Conference & Expo, that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, has released the latest version of its industry-leading COMPASS Network Management Software (NMS) solution.

COMPASS version 7.3 provides a higher level of network management automation and simplified configuration tools, resulting in reduced operating costs and operational errors by users of broadcast and satellite network management applications. The increased automation and configuration management functionality in COMPASS 7.3 helps ensure a consistent level of service and that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met. Customers are able to reduce costs by automating manual tasks and recovery from network failures or other conditions. In addition, COMPASS 7.3 reduces downtime and eliminates failures commonly associated with human error when attempting to reconfigure backup equipment. In addition to its cost savings features, COMPASS 7.3 also includes a high-level reporting tool based on JasperReports. The open source Java reporting application makes it even easier to provide SLA and operational information that can be used when service disputes arise. Users can also view detailed network and system information in real-time and automate the generation of reports by service, customer and location. Using COMPASS 7.3’s high-level reporting tool, customers can import information from other applications to develop a detailed analysis of their network for daily and monthly reports or compliance audits. Of particular interest to satellite operators and broadcast customers is the integration with Integral SystemsMonics® and DSA Carrier Management and interference detection solutions. When combined, operators are able to generate performance reports based upon the network and carriers used to transport their services.
