TrustComm... Ramping Up For Responders (SATCOM)

[SatNews] TrustComm Inc has incorporated significant enhancements to its Satellite Emergency Operations Network (SEON) solution for emergency responders. The enhancements include new, flexible purchase options (now available on GSA Schedule 70) and expanded network configurations. SEON is an instantly available, secure communications network that supports emergency responders when infrastructure is damaged, destroyed or overloaded. Since its introduction in 2010, the scalable SEON solution has been successfully deployed by numerous government agencies, including the Texas National Guard and the sheriff’s departments of Harris County, Texas and Mason County, West Virginia.

In recent years, TrustComm’s satellite-based emergency communications solutions have been proven reliable by more than 10 state National Guards and many other agencies. TrustComm earned the National Guard’s Minuteman Award for outstanding disaster support during hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. From its secure teleport and network operations center (S-NOC) at Ellington Field Base in Houston, TrustComm has successfully deployed a wide range of managed satellite networking solutions to many government agencies and commercial enterprises since 1999. TrustComm recently opened its new corporate headquarters with an expanded executive team and fully redundant S-NOC at the Quantico Corporate Center in Stafford, Virginia.

“With the 2013 hurricane season upon us, these SEON enhancements are proof that we are proactive in providing responsive solutions that are critical for government agencies to ensure operational readiness under all conditions,” said TrustComm CEO Bob Roe. “These new usage plans and configurations demonstrate our commitment to make it easy for agencies to quickly adopt SEON. In fact, our team is capable of deploying the fully managed solution within hours of customer order.”

SEON is a daily service that customers can deploy without long-term commitments. TrustComm’s Houston S-NOC and teleport are located on seven acres of land above a 500-year flood plain, an ideal location to stage mobile assets and prepare customer equipment for field operations. The secure facility is located 40 feet above sea level and the building can withstand 125 mph winds and a 45-foot storm surge.
