According to the Russian Federal Agency of Communications’ order No.22-k dated June 11th, 2009, the labor contract with Alexey Ostapchuk, RSCC’ Director General, has been cancelled, due to the expiration of the contract.

Until the new vacancy has been filled, Yuri Prokhorov will perform the Acting Director's duties at RSCC. Yuri graduated from the Moscow Institute of Radio Technology, Electronics and Automatics (MIRTEA), radio and technical systems faculty, as an engineer-designer and technologist of radio-electronic equipment and specialized at postgraduate study in the field of radio location and radio navigation. On July 1st of 2008, he was appointed to the RSCC as the First Deputy Director General.
